Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Close2u, Inc. (“Close2u,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, stores, and discloses personal information when you use our marketing website, submit a demo request, or interact with our services.

1. Information we collect

When you request a demo or otherwise contact us, we collect:

  • Your full name
  • Work email address
  • Company name
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Vertical / industry you operate in
  • Notes you voluntarily provide about your use case
  • A hashed (SHA-256) representation of your IP address for abuse tracking

We also collect anonymous usage analytics (page views, session duration, referrer domain) using privacy-respecting analytics that never touch personally identifiable information.

2. How we use your information

  • To respond to your demo request and schedule a conversation.
  • To communicate about our services, only for the context you initiated.
  • To protect the website from abuse (rate limiting and fraud detection).
  • To improve the product based on aggregated, non-identifying patterns.

3. Legal basis (GDPR)

For EU/UK visitors: we process your data under the lawful basis of legitimate interest (responding to a demo request you initiated) and consent (where you opted into additional communications).

4. Data sharing

We share your information only with these categories of processors:

  • Email delivery (Resend) — to deliver replies to your inbox.
  • Hosting (Vercel) — where the site runs.
  • Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) — to block automated submissions.
  • Rate limiting (Upstash) — to throttle abuse.

We never sell your data. We never share it with advertising networks.

5. Data retention

Demo request data is retained for up to 24 months unless you request earlier deletion. Hashed IPs for abuse tracking are retained for 90 days. Analytics data is aggregated and retained indefinitely in non-identifying form.

6. Your rights

You may request at any time that we:

  • Provide a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your data (subject to any legal retention requirements).
  • Stop processing your data for marketing purposes.

7. Cookies

This site uses only strictly necessary cookies (for the demo form CSRF protection and rate-limiting). We do not use tracking cookies or cross-site advertising cookies.

8. Security

We apply industry-standard technical safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, strict Content Security Policy headers, server-side input validation, and rate limiting. Our responsible disclosure program is at /.well-known/security.txt.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new “Last updated” date at least 30 days before taking effect.
